Strengthening the Base
Shihan Mark Sentoshi Russo’s leg workout course includes self-myofascial release, stretching, and a series of functional fitness leg exercises using your own body weight to strengthen the base and improve your To-Shin Do Taijutsu movement. Exercises range from fairly simple to relatively challenging. Items you will need are identified and Shihan Russo reminds you to err on the side of caution and work at your own pace. Conditioning, strengthening and flexibility (referred to as Junan Taiso by the Ninja) are part of a healthy lifestyle and important to any martial artist.
